I'm the half naked girl. And I love it. :) Espescially now that I have my own swimming pool! :)

How are you liking your new house, Hel?

It's still a work in progress. We have a BUNCH of remodeling to do, and my husband isn't exactly enjoying it. :) We're kind of having buyer's remorse, actually. Are all previous home owners as dirty as the ones we've had? Because it was an absolute nightmare cleaning our house up for the first 3 weeks :( AND to make things even worse, these previous owners were SO lazy! Here's just a list of things they did half assed
>The fireplace wasn't finished all the way. They didn't finish putting in the last 5 bricks!
>They put wall paper OVER wallpaper in 5 different rooms! (which I didn't mind steaming off at first...until I realized I had 2 more layers to go!)
>When I finally finished steaming off the hideous wallpaper, they didn't paint behind it. It was nothing but PRIMER!! AHHHH!!!
>Instead of cleaing their shower, they painted over it. WTF!!?? That was a bitch to clean off! :pissed:
>Out in the yard, instead of digging a little trench to put the bording bricks in, they just set them on the grass.
>They painted OVER the doorbell box!
>They painted over all of the wall plates!

I could really continue on for hours...It's so frustrating..:pissed:
But things are starting to clear up and our house is actually starting to look like a home. My husband and I have decided that NEXT time, we're starting out fresh with a NEW home, because quite frankly, home improvement is a bitch.

How I dread going to Lowe's now :)

painted over the bathroom grime?!? What the hell where they trying to cover up that a little Scrubbing Bubbles couldn't take care of? Once you guys get this home done you'll be ready to build that new one, eh? Just think of the equity your building into it cleaning it all up.

Yes, I'm hoping our house will increase in value with all of these new improvements. But yeah, I totally didn't understand the painted shower. They even tried to use a bright, neon green paint at first! These people just loved to paint over everything! Oh yeah, another retarded thing they did....They used PLASTIC trim!! But at least that was just in one room...thank god. OH yes....and I still haven't ranted about the curtains....damn those curtains...

Okay, I swear to god, this lady had to have been like Martha Stewart in jail, because the curtain rod...just bear with me....was made out of an empty cardboard roll of wrapping paper! And the curtains were made out of Bedsheets, which were Stapled to Styrofoam. All of the curtains were like this too. Not just one bedroom had to suffer, they ALL did.

Anyways, the buyer's remorse is starting to fade away. And our house is looking really cool now :)
