Okay here it is. You all help out with everything PC and electronic so I thought I could help with plumbing questions! Let me have it. We will see if my plumbing skills do anything other than support my family and its spending habits.:D

CPVC or Copper for installation in new homes? When I worked for you back in college we were using copper just wanted to see if you switched? Just curious what the code is out there. It has all gone CPVC for new homes here, and is still copper for the more part for commercial. I still deal with the plumbing part when I am doing designs now.

Actually we have switched to PEX! Residential and light commercial

Pulls like electrical wires
Less fittings
No noise transmission
Freeze resistant
Less heat loss than copper
Less Labor
Oh and did I mention COST!
It has been in use for over 25 years in the european market
It is now approved for water services in most of colorado
And cpvc is on its way out!

 attaching picture and put a larger one in the gallery

really. I honestly have not heard of that at all. We still use PVC for irrigation systems out here, Mostly class 200 PVC, some Schedule 40. We will set up copper from the mains inside of the buildings run copper to the water meter and the backflow. Downstream of the backflow is all PVC.

I have a "friend" and I.. he, *he* has a tendancy of getting intoxicated and flush random pets and objects down the toilets in other peoples houses, usually this isn't a problem but lately I've been running out pets, any suggestions?

well that's nice... at least your shoving them in the toilet over shoving them back in what sits on the toilet. If your out of Pets, I would suggest small explosives, such as an M80 or M60. Becareful, do at your own risk. :D

Pvc is still used for sprinkler but cpvc in residential is not being used now with the introduction of PEX
