Sorry for lack of news and updates lately. Between the drive failure on our web host and the general lack of industry news lately, our site has been kinda quiet. Let's see if we can keep things rolling anyway...

Game Movies and Trailers!

Fileplanet (http://www.fileplanet.com) has a bunch of new downloads for your viewing pleasure.

Half-Life 2. Valve has been releasing parts of their E3 showing as individual clips. Here is G-Man (http://www.fileplanet.com/files/120000/127521.shtml), The Docks (http://www.fileplanet.com/files/120000/127720.shtml), and Kliener's Lab (http://www.fileplanet.com/files/120000/127756.shtml). Its the same footage, just without the Valve dude talking overtop of it.

Knights of the Old Republic. Here is a movie showing gameplay (http://www.fileplanet.com/files/120000/127409.shtml) from the upcoming RPG. Looking at the screenshots on the official site (http://www.lucasarts.com/products/swkotor/), I was very excited about this game. But after seeing the actual game footage, I'm not so sure anymore. Time will tell I guess.

Dungeon Siege II. This is the E3 trailer (http://www.fileplanet.com/files/120000/127748.shtml), I haven't watched this one yet but I'm sure it will be cool.

I watched the Dungeon Siege 2 footage and it's just like all the other trailers in the industry, all CG animation and no game footage. How can I get excited about a game when they don't show any gameplay? Sure, the movie animations are great but the game play sucks. :silent: That's not to say that DS 2 will suck because I loved the first. It's just that I'm tired of these game companies that produce a trailer only to show off their CG animation prowess (or the subcontracted companies animation prowess).
