I'm really torn between Mars and Saturn. Mars has become cool due to the rover exploration but I still like Saturn the most due the cool look it has with the rings.

Neptune for me because it rains diamonds (http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1511/is_9_21/ai_64698198) there.

gotta be Jupiter, cause you know, it's gonna become a sun one of these days, and there's life on the moons and yeah

I agree on Saturn and Mars though, Saturn is the prettiest, and Mars is high profile right now, but you know, we only have a little over 4 years left till Jupiter becomes a sun and that's gonna be pretty cool and i'll bet it becomes pretty high profile at that point

For those of you who don't want to read that insanely boring article Dante posted, here is the snipet of info that was sensationalized by Dante:
Last year, a team at the University of California at Berkeley came up with a hypothesis about what might be occurring in the planet's atmosphere to explain Neptune's extraordinary internal energy. Robin Benedetti, a graduate student in physics, put some methane in a pressurized chamber and used a laser beam to create "pressure and heat conditions that you might find about a third of the way toward the planet's center" Methane is composed of four hydrogen atoms that surround a carbon atom. Benedetti found that under extreme pressure the bonds holding the hydrogen atoms onto the carbon dissolved, and the carbon atoms began binding to one another. Under different conditions, carbon atoms would form a coal-like substance, but under this extreme pressure, they formed diamond dust. "We're not sure how big diamond crystals might form on Neptune," she says, but they could conceivably make the Krupp diamond on Elizabeth Taylor's finger seem like a chip. If those conditions exist on Neptune, it's possible that diamonds are literally raining down through the atmosphere toward the planet's center, releasing heat as a result of friction. "This could be a really huge amount of energy," says Benedetti, and it may explain in part why Neptune radiates 2.6 times as much heat as it absorbs from the sun.

May I have some links to support your wild claims? :)

And I would prefer facts, not overhyped theories like Dante's article...

Mars... It looked so bad-ass in Total Recall.
I'm not even going mention Spawny's favorite, it's sooooo obvious.

But i love pluto i did a report on it once and it's interesting! :study:
And it reminds me of pluto mickeys dog! :D

Well, here's the first article I could find concerning Europa and it's not even long and convoluted like dante's

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/2284852.stm

and here's one from National Geographic

http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2005/03/0323_050323_jupitereuropa.html

As for the sun part, I can't believe you don't already know that. This article tells a little about it for those living in the dark ages like dbone

Well, aren't you hilarious with your science fiction turning into facts. Silly man.

And why the 2 articles on Jupiters Moon? Has nothing to do with your fiction turned reality universe.... Silly man.

the two articles on Jupiter's moon is because you asked for some links backing up my claims of life and becoming a sun. so you know, i did what you asked and gave you some articles on how the moon of Jupiter has life. Funny how when someone follows your directions you get all confused

Thats funny because none of those articles have facts about life on the moon or the planet turning into a star. All specualtion and theories. I guess you should add "Reading Comprehension 101" to your fall schedule.

Do we not have a new planet in this system? YES! 2003UB313 is the new under dog! Why is it not listed? Could the all knowing Dante or Dbone have missed somthing when setting up this poll?

I know this is a bit delayed of a response, but they ended up naming the 10th planet "Xena" after the tv series, "Xena, Warrior Princess". THEN to be even more cheesy, they named the moon orbiting that planet Gabrielle, after Xena's side-kick. Here's the link http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/space/10/01/new.planet.moon.ap/
