July 2005 Session - Final details

On a side note, for those already attending and mostly Kyraath... Shall we BBQ some burgers and brats for lunch or dinner? If we all pitch in a couple bucks it would probably be less expensive than going out, plus we don't have to stand around trying to decide where to go for one meal.
(1) Is that cool with you Kyraath? Is your grill big enough?
(2) What does everyone else think?

If its cool with Ky, I say grill for lunch and then everyone is on their own for dinner cause i know Malice and I will want to go get Teriyaki.

Ok Scratch the offer of my BBq-Grill, Freaks. My pickup is in the shop till after the 18th. The saturn isn't big enough for it.

So I'm finally back in Fort Collins, the trip is over and i slept most of the weekend. I'll get some pictures posted as soon as I can sort through them and get rid of duplicates and pick the best ones. It should be very soon and I'll have some pics up here.

As for this gaming session, there may be a problem. This is why I strongly prefered the 23rd before I left, I assumed something like this would happen. I may need to go visit my parents this weekend. Since they basically paid for my trip to Japan and now they are "suggesting" that I need to come visit them because of that, and my brother is going to be in town at the same time (haven't seen him in well over a year since he moved to Seattle). I'm going to hear from them probably this afternoon to find out for sure when my brother will be in town (this and next weekend or just this weekend) so I will update everyone as soon as I hear for sure. Best case is that my brother will be staying the whole week and will still be in Canon City on the 23rd also and I can go down then. Worst case we may need to figure something else out like dbone's most hated word "reschedule".

In light of this news, we need a backup location. Death, is your house gonna be available this weekend if all else fails? For me, the 23rd is no good now because my family and I will be down in Colorado Springs that weekend (of all places).

Rescheduling isnt an option in my opinion. We need to find an alternate location if you can't game. We've got a full load of 11 people this time and since everyone already is planning on playing we still need to do that. Lets just wait and see what happens this afternoon and hopefully like you said you can go down to canon city next weekend.

Thanks for the offer Bill, you rock. We'll know for sure tomorrow somtime whether Kyraath was able to work his magic to keep himself in town this weekend. In addition to the tables, we would need the server as well. So, we'll see what happens...

Crisis averted, the violence will commence at the predefined coordinates. So yeah about food during the day. The grill at the house should be large enough to get quite a bit of food cooked though depending on the size of burger/braut we might have to do it in waves. Burgers and Brauts cook fairly fast though so it shouldn't be a big deal. Are we going to have the standard contingent for an evening before raid again? (that's you ROSS and DANTE)

I will not be able to convene with the raid party the evening before the grand battle. Prior commitments have retained my skills and abilities for that time period. :(

WOOT! Game ON! Ky, is there still a Sam's Club in Fort Fun? If so, we can go on Friday night to get some supplies, they have pretty good frozen burgers that grill up real nice. Then if everyone is cool, we'll just split the cost that day, probably be like 3 or 4 bucks a person. Malice, what time are you off work on Friday? I assume Sam's closes at 9:00 so we may be cutting it close.

I have an unopened bag of frozen burgers I can bring so we'll be covered there. We still need some dogs/brats and buns and stuff like that. I can leave anytime I want on Friday, I bet I could even get it off if it were really necessary. I was thinking of leaving around 4 or so if that works for you.

I'm going to try to ditch about 1/2 the day on friday so if you guys want to leave earlier that'll work nicely too. If nothing else we can go to Stupids and pick up buns there. but leaving by 4 should be enough time to hit conspiracy club

Yeah, thats a tough call, cause if we leave CS around 4 or 5, we hit shitty traffic in denver. Lets plan on leaving just a bit early though anyway, we'll discuss when offline this week.

Just a followup post to clarify everything so everyone is on the same page.

Gaming will be at Kyraath's house.
Standard start time.
Lunch will be burgers and brats, probably some chips, macaroni salad and drinks. Everyone plan on pitching in 4-5 bucks.
Dinner will be whatever.
Game lineup is in the details on the calendar event. BF2 may not happen since it requires a pretty robust PC, not everyone may have the ability to play, we'll see.

P.S. Kyraath, we are going to leave here around 4:00 so we'll see you about 6:30ish probably.
