Ok, guys.... I'm writing this to see what kind of OOE showing we could have with in Planetside.

Dread, Mongo, Kyraath, D-Bone, and myself are in the Public Beta with Dread, Mongo, and I currently playing with Kyraath and Dbone soon to follow.

I for one really like this game and both Dread and I think this could be a very cool game to have an OOE outfit (what they call a clan) be in. It would be fun to try and organize a raid, join a raid or just have everyone get online together. We haven't had anything we all participated in since the likes of Dark Age of Camelot. I feel this could be something we all could really get into since it seems that FPS are the most favored types of games with us.

Look into the site and see for yourself. The game mechanics are very cool. Graphics are nice to look at. You get to drive vehicles, fly planes, be a heavy artillery guy or a stealthy sniper. The overall gameplay is just fun. Granted it's reminiscent of Tribes but there's alot more to this one.

Check it out and see if we can get something going with our group other than just game day! :D

I'm a bit excited to try it out, its taking forever for this downlod to finish... I really haven't read much about it so I'll have to stumble along for a bit. It'll be cool if this turns into a game everyone wants to play because I agree, we need a game we can all have fun with online. Also, I would say being similar to Tribes isn't a bad thing, that was a fun game.

DOWNLOAD FASTER!

There will be a monthly fee or something like that tied with this being's how it's an online game. I know that might be a deterrent for some of you but I think it's worth it if it's something we all can get into.

Yeah, I signed up for the beta as well. Its stupid you have to get accepted. I doubt I will cause I don't play any other games now. Those whores...so if I do I would like to try it out with you guys.

Mongo got sent an email allowing him to invite someone to play so I was able to bypass the acceptance process. Dante, maybe you could have the other guys keep an eye out for another email like that so Malice could get in quicker...

In response to death's posting,

I personally don't mind paying a reasonable fee for access to a game if it's worth playing. The way I look at it, I'm not paying for the game, I'm paying for them to keep the servers running properly and paying their salary to add new content all the time. We all pay a recuring fee for internet connectivity for the exact same reasons, we pay att or frii or whoever to make sure their servers stay running and our connection will not randomly drop. Plus, since it's only $13 a month fee (most of the time) I spend more than that when I go out for a movie and get way more than 2 hours of entertainment.

Maybe I'm insane, but $13 a month for all they give you on mmorpg's is well within my acceptible limits.

Oh yeah, and as for this game we'll see dante, I have yet to get the beta cd's so I don't know what i think of planetside yet.

Definitely gonna have to make room for EQ2 when it finally comes out though

That's the Real issue there, I hate MMORPG I get soooooo bored with them. But you guys like them, so yes Kyraath has a valid point. I mean I pay car magazine subscriptions. And Sat TV I get your points but At this point in time the MMORPGs just don't do anything for me. I'll have to see what it's like from you guys then maybe just maybe I'll be swayed.
