Well, since the gaming poll didn't close automatically like it was supposed to... DANTE!... I have decided to make a new one. When I saw Anger Management this last weekend, I saw a lot of good previews. Which leads me to this poll question. Enjoy!

I want to see most of them but I think I'll end up seeing X-Men as that's what Terri wants to see. Hey change it so we can have multiple choices. I want to see more than one.

More than one?!? What??? It's a poll. Voting for more than one is like voting for both presidents during election time.
That aside, this was a tough decision because I want to see all of them. Not sure about The Hulk, though. I hope they don't make that one all stoopid.

I'm kinda afraid of some of these titles. I'm definitely going to see all but one of them, but i fear the new Matrix movies. The coolest part of the Matrix was not knowing what the Matrix was and seeing if he really was the one or not. Now I'm not sure what's going to happen besides a bunch of fighting. I mean come on, what's the most powerful enemy someone can face in the Matrix? an agent? we already know Neo can take them down. I'm really curious to see how they pull it off.
I'm also a little afraid of T3. It's going to be hard to make something that's not just a T2 clone based on the previews I've seen. I'm curious though, we'll see.
I can't believe you even put charlies angels in this list. Did you even see the last one? That had to be one of the worst pieces of crap I've every turned off in the middle of watching it. There are only a very small number of titles that I have EVER turned off in the middle due to stupidity and that one joined the ranks.

Oh my goodness. *sigh* I swear, I'm going to have to kill you. Not everything has to have a deep story and "mean something". Movies are meant for entertainment. Some have deep stories but some are just for fun. Charlies Angles is one of those. Lots of cool action, hot chicks, some laughs and more hot chicks. Whats wrong with that? Nothing. As for the Matrix, have you even seen the newest trailer? There are new enemies with new tricks and tons of agents. Sure Neo can beat an agent but he is still only human. The machines are coming for Zion and the war is on. Obviously the human race will win their freedom because its a movie and its required to have the "correct ending" but that doesn't mean we dont want to see how they did it. Same thing with Lord of the Rings and Star Wars, we all know the ending so why watch the movie? Because its entertainment and thats all. You should go to school to have your mind challenged, not the movie theater.
Yes, I know I'm being a bit extreme but I'm just making a point is all. Man, I still wished we worked together cause right now I would throw shit over the wall at you or shoot you with the stoner cannon.

Well said D-bone. While I understand Kyraath's views, I also lean more towards your point. Movies and Music for that matter, are entertainment. Entertainment should be enjoyed. I for one loved xXx, worst acting ever, but the actions scenes were so fricking cool, I felt all bumpy and warm inside.
On a side note, Kyraath, I finally saw that movie you were always ranting about, In the Mouth of Madness. Well, if it was a band, it wouldn't be Sublime.. Let's just put it that way. Was ok, but I guess I was expecting more.
Anyways, chow for now.

Well you fully missed my point, I've been avoiding the newer matrix trailers because i want to SEE the movie and be SURPRISED at what is coming. Maybe i'm a freak, but I don't want to know the full script before i go to a new show  I'm very excited for the new matrix but i'm still a little afraid, i just hope they can pull it off, I've seen way too many lackluster sequels to wonderful movies and i'm suspicious.
As for the first charlie's angels I'm going to continue disagreeing. I don't need a movie to mean something for me to like it nor does it need a deep story. But it does need to be entertaining, and that movie was not. The action was all terrible, or should i say just stupid, none of the dialog made me laugh even though it seemed like they were trying hard to be funny (was more like a scooby-doo cartoon dialog), and when i think of drew barrymore, i don't think hot, I think about putting a pitchfork in her eye (holy crap i hate her).
Oh and if we still worked together, it'd be too late, you'd already have crap flying over the wall as soon as you posted this

Well, if your going to avoid all the trailers and want to be surprised, you shouldn't jump to conclusions about the movie. But, yes I agree that sequels don't always do a good job and are sometimes a huge let-down. That being said, I'm sure Reloaded will still be very entertaining no matter what. And BTW, you won't know the full script from a 60 second trailer.
I'm also going to keep dis-agreeing with you about Charlies Angels as well. The action scenes were very exciting and well executed. Bill Murray was hilarious throughout the whole movie. Plus, how can you make a fair judgement when you turned it off half-way through? Also, you are wrong about Drew, she is hot. I sure wouldn't kick her out bed for eating crackers.
And lastly, Sweden is better than Finland because we have better hockey players. I win again.

LOL nice,
we will just have to agree to disagree on this whole charlie's (crappy) angels thing. Where you saw good exciting action, I saw a bunch of people running around being stupid and stopping every once in a while for the girls to stand in a stupid pose, then more running around followed by another stupid pose. Way too choreographed, predictable and just plain boring. :| Oh and it was further along than the middle where i turned it off, I just couldn't take any more mindless studipity.

ahhh i agree, I miss screwing around all morning also.
And now for spawnman, (I was kinda busy making fun of dbone until now  )
Thanks for the compliment spawny, since sublime SUCKS and you said mouth of madness was nothing like sublime, you must have thought it ROCKED
Did you watch mouth of madness at night? with no distractions? there are requirements to watching that show you know.

Apr 17th '03, 03:01 PM
Spawnny, I didn't mean to leave you out, I just didn't reply to you because you agreed with me. But thanks for being on my side!
Oh yeah, sublime is lame ;)

Apr 17th '03, 04:28 PM
That's better.
Umm no I didn't watch it at night. Was kinda late afternoon. Don't know if it would make a difference or not.
Sublime <> lame
Mouth of madness = lame

Well there's your problem. This movie, like any good horror movie, has to be watched at night with no interruptions. You can't pause it and answer the phone, or get up for a snack.
Though maybe it's more a problem with taste, I mean you do like sublime. You're probably one of those people who liked charlie's angels

Charlie's Angels, the best movie I never saw. Mouth of Madness, the worst movie I never saw. And Sublime RULES!

Even though I haven't seen Mouth of Madness (ducks Kyraath blow), I have to agree with Kyraath on the way a movie is watched. For example, when I watched Blair Witch Project I turn all the lights off and I was also home all alone. After that, I swear I kept hearing things for a week afterwards.
On the other hand, it doesn't matter which manner watching Charlie's Angles is in. It still and will suck. :P Sorry Dbone, Charlie's Angels just should have stayed an 80's cult series. Althought watching Farrah Fawcett is always a pleasure.
As for the Finland-Sweden debate... come on guys... Denmark will always rule!!

Yeah, well it looked like you guys were having so much fun. I just felt left out and had to get in there!
And after I watched Blair Witch, I almost peed my pants the next time we went camping....that was probably the only horror movie that actually scared me just a little bit. Most of the time I just laugh at them...

Blair Witch kicked Ass! I totally agree with Malice on that one. Very scary movie. I just didn't see anything that would really be considered "scary" in mouth of madness. You are correct on the proper horror film viewing conditions. I just don't know if it would help that movie or not.
The nice part about Sublime, is that you can listen to it at any time of day, with or without interruptions and they still whale!
Denmark, Sweden, Finland?? Hmm, I would have to go with Greenland

Well, I can't comment on the scary movies because as you all know, I'm a pansy. (Just thought I'd say it before anyone else did.)
Sublime. They have a couple good songs but thats about it.
