Of course they are, as a split off from at&t did you expect anything else? Mid-last week my connection went down and when I called them they told me my account had somehow magically reverted to as though I had JUST signed up and so I needed to go through their secret registration server in order to get service. Well the login they gave me didn't work and the jackass on the phone was worthless so they put in a service ticket and told me it'd be fixed in the next day or so and I should keep trying to register.

Well after a couple days of failed registrations, I called them back and their tech had marked the service ticket "resolved" yet huh, my connection still didn't work, and now I couldn't even obtain an IP from the POS cable box. Well the next phone whore was amazingly helpful... with figuring out how to stick his thumb up his ass. Now I had to wait three more days in order for them to send someone here to figure out the problem.

When the slacker got to my house he had no idea what to do when I showed him everything I'd done and what was happening (I'm so glad they train their technicians on troubleshooting techniques). He called some secret number that he wouldn't give me and they fixed the problem (on their end) within about 1min. I'm SO glad I was denied connectivity for a week, thank you SO much com-whore-cast, you're the best!

Wow dude...I guess I shouldn't bitch too much about my cable going up and down the last few days. I love those secret phone numbers though.

Oh boy could I give you some dsl horror stories. It is by no means the "way" of the future. Powerline internet is the "way" of the future.
