Starting a new topic for this one. Looking for some feedback.

Here's the games I was thinking about playing for game day...

UT2004/Onslaught - Lots of new maps to choose from.

Star Wars Battlefront - Just tried this out last night. Its like BF1942 meets Star Wars. Maps are not as big as BF1942 so it should be more managable. Plus, its fun to be able to control AT-AT's and speederbikes, etc.

Call of Duty? Those objective based maps we played a while back were fun, might want to do that again.

I was thinking, maybe we should have a bigger block of time for each of these games so we can get to know the maps better. For instance pick a map rotation with 4 or 5 maps and play that rotation like 3 times. You guys think that would get old or would be more helpful for repetition? So, I'll start there and see where the discussion leads.... :)

Also, just fyi, there are about 5 new maps for onslaught that Malice and I havent played yet so we could play those to keep it fair. ;)

After chatting with Dbone (and him telling me to post  ), I'm ok with longer sessions per game. Hell, I'm ok with just PLAYING a game.

Too bad HL2 won't be out by our game day, huh?

But, if my memory serves me correctly (which it doesn't too often), wasn't there a discussion about the recommended amount of time per game to keep things flowing good?

More thinking...

Call of Duty United Offensive expansion pack is out with some updates to the multiplayer aspect. I think we should try that instead of the original. New maps are always fun.

I would also like to propose we set aside maybe 1 hour for a racing game. Now I know not everyone likes racing games, thats why I'm only suggesting an hour. It'll be a fun diversion. While looking for a suitable game, I found this choice: http://pc.gamespy.com/pc/race-driver-2/518825p1.html
Dante is "aquiring it" as I type this. :)

Just some more ideas... talk amongst yourselves...

Doom 3, I thought that was 4 player max for LAN?
I'm all for trying some new Tribes as long as the maps are not too huge for our small group.
Farcry! Oh yeah! That is also a good possibility for some multiplayer fun.

Damn, we may have too many games to try for once!

Scratch that racing idea. The game in question is TOCA Race Driver. It would be no good for a LAN session.

Well, not to scratch the whole racing idea, just the choice of game. We could still try Trackmania, Colin McRae, or Midnight Club 2.

Ok boys, here's a general "outline" for the lineup Saturday...

I'm not going to put any times on these so in case we are having fun with a certain game, we can play it longer or whatever. I say we try and start at 9:00 so we have some time to get games installed, patched, etc.

Setup/Install
StarWars Battlefront
Call of Duty: United Offensive
Midnight Club 2
UT2004-Onslaught
Tribes: Venegence
Farcry

GAME ON!

One thing we might want to add... Deathball for UT2004. I checked out the videos they have online for this version, and there is some really cool stuff you can do.
