Directly from IGN (http://pc.ign.com/articles/550/550702p1.html):
Though we have yet to receive confirmation from Vivendi Universal Games, both GameStop and EBGames are now listing the contents of the Half-Life 2 Collector's Edition (or is it Special Edition?), listed at $79.99. Here's how it looks:

●Half-Life 2 on DVD-ROM
●Counter-Strike: Source - The next generation of the #1 online action game
●Half-Life: Source - Digitally remastered version of the original acclaimed PC game
●Free Limited Edition T-shirt - Offered in men's size XL only
●Half-Life 2 Prima Book - Information on character backgrounds, the making of the game, and more than 100 pieces of artwork

While we can't be sure that these are the final contents of the Collector's Edition, major retailers such as EBGames and GameStop are often the first to receive such information, and certainly there is precedent for such early details turning out to be correct. Our guess on this one? Fairly likely.
Original Half-Life on the new engine? That could be fun. I wonder if the current HL mods such as DOD will run on the new source then as well... Very cool.

Hmm, did you get that HL will be on the new engine from other news as well or just from that little blurb? I see how it can be read that way but I'm not sure either. Would be cool though if that is what it is. Digitally remastered? Thats a strange term for something that was essentially digital to begin with? I'm not trying to take a dump in your cheerio's D-Bone just asking questions here.

I think I heard back during all the tech demos that they would be re-releasing the original Half Life story on the new engine. Should be pretty cool.
