Ok I have an old decrepit scanner that I am using to scan the service manual for my motorcycle. The problem is it only does bmp tif and awd. I want to be able to merge it into one big pdf document with pretty Links etc to the different sections of the book. Will Acrobat Pro 7 do that. I just hate the idea of having hundreds of tif files laying around.

Normally I would just stay silent but I didn't want you to feel like no one cared. To be honest, I have no idea how you would go about doing that. It seems like that should be doable with Acrobat. Do you have a copy of Acrobat Pro to try?

Perhaps this will help?

Not sure about creating the bookmarks to jump to pages though.

Never actually done it, but the pdfs that I've made were really easy to use any image file. Then it's just a matter of creating the links where you want them to be and what page you want them to go to. The way I've done it before is to just use Word to create the layout of the file and then let the little acrobat button do the conversion/saveas to pdf. I'll mess around with my copy to see if you can then just add links wherever you want from that created pdf.

I have pro 7. Just not installed on anything. I'll give it a try when I finish scanning it.
