This weekend, we finally get to see what it looks like.

The first trailer for Call of Duty: World at War will premiere this weekend on the Xbox Live Marketplace, and will only be available for download during those two days (June 21-22). There's no doubt that the trailer will somehow hit the web as well, but if you want to see it in glorious HD on your big-screen TV, you'll need to check in then.

This latest entry in the series, which will run on an enhanced version of the Call of Duty 4 engine, is set to introduce co-op play for the first time -- for two players split-screen or four players online -- and so here's hoping we'll get a glimpse of the new mode in the trailer.

Maybe we'll get an official release date too -- so far, only a "2008" date has been announced.

The image shown is from Call of Duty 3, which was also developed by Treyarch.

Image: Activision

Call of Duty 5 Trailer Premiere | Game | Life from Wired.com
