In an effort to rid myself of bloated programs that require cracks/keygens/patches I am trying to find open source alternatives for some of the standard utilities I use daily.

Here is what I have found and liked so far. Any other tools that come highly recommended from anyone else, please post.

Here are a couple of websites that list various commercial applications and their open source alternatives. Also, the osswin site lists many open source programs by category, even has an entire page dedicated to open source games. I'm amazed that programs like Open Office even exist.
