It's simply un-American! The commie sympathizers at Blizzard have apparently placed financial restrictions on the amount of gold players can have in World of Warcraft. WoW Insider reports two players have reached the anti-capitalist limit of 214,748 gold, 36 silver, 48 copper and that's the end of the road for them. After that they are not entitled to the cash they have earned by the sweat of their own fingertips.

Without getting into an Andrew Ryan diatribe, the limit is apparently just some arbitrary number ... actually, Ross "?ber math nerd" Miller says, "It's not arbitrary, it's 2 to the power of 31, which is a 32-bit integer." We're not sure how Blizzard feels about the cap, but we're certain the citizens of Azeroth can't be too happy about "the man" keeping them from living out their financial fantasies.

Hmm, they should have used an unsigned integer. I don't remember seeing money ever represented as a negative number. Maybe it is used during calculations though. Still kind of funny though that someone even got that kind of money, wtf.

yeah, two people made that much money?!? I think I maxed out at 1500g before I went insane from the stupid grind. Some people have way too much time to blow on a game like that.

I am in close to about 12000g. I can see some that like to grind certainly coming up with more than that. That is taking into account the 5000g x2 for epic mounts.
I know a 40 lock pre bc that was up to almost a 1000g. I lost touch with him but could see his numbers skyrocketing with bc around. He was an auction whore.
