Well, I have finnaly found a game that I like. http://www.invasion3042.com/ It is Classic Battle tech in an online format that is absolutely awsome. I have been in for about 3 weeks now and this game is complex.

You have to research and develop your technology,
You have to build your infastructure and buildings.
You have Mechs over 4000 variants to choose from. Plus Tanks and they are gonig to add infantry into the game.
You train your units, name build your mech lances and name them.
Full Color MAPS.. Nice deatails also.
Full economy with a market place open to every unit in the game.

There is alot, the best way to see it is look at it.

This is a free game. You have to download it. It is in a BETA format but they are almost completely finished. It is a 10meg file.

I am really hoping there is someone out there that loves battletech as much as I do. I met one of the admins of the game and I have been given an exsiting house. The Tortuga Dominions. They are a minor periphery house, but they are small and in a very good location. There is one planet that can hold upto 10 players called Tortuga Prime.

Each sector on a planet has 5 individual sub-sectors where you can build all your buildings store your mechs.

The Battles is even more impressive. You can either fight the battles against your enemy players or you can let the game IA fight them. Keep inmind each individual mech has a Battle Value and each mech has a pilot with a rating.

Like I said, I am very impressed with this game.

I need help and I am hoping that I can get at least 1 or 2 people to join me. I have enough cash built up that I can give it to you to start your units.

IF anyone does start and I hope someone does. please let me know. There is a 42 page instruction manual that actually helps and when you start you unit you will see a promotional code box put this in it. "Art of War" and make sure you include the " It will double your money at start up.

Last thing. This is an Inner Sphere house so make sure you select it at start up.

I hope to see someone in with me..

I've always been a huge mechwarrior fan so this would be great fun, but I only see windows clients here. Until I get motivated enough to set up a dualboot on this laptop, I'm not going to be able to join in. Too bad though it looks like fun.

Somehow I never knew you were a big mechwarrior fan. I should have assumed that with your love for anime.

Dante to the rescue. I knew he had a solution for everything. Kyraath this game is heavy in politics and roleplay in addition to the game play. If you love mechwarrior you would fit in. The league also uses MIRC to talk with all the other players. I access MIRC through X-chat.

I have been working on alliances with most of the innersphere. There was a huge battle last night with Steiner and Marik vs one of the Clans. The Clans right now are invading Steiner Space so they are asking people for help.

With us being in the Tortuga Dominions we are on the far side of the Federated Common wealth so we are well protected.

Kyraath with you that would give us 4 people, which is a good number to maintain. Hopefully more will want to give it a shot. We have an empire to maintain.

DANTE... Help Kyraath... PLEASE :)

Huh?!? where have you been Dante? Don't you remember that big tackle box full of little mech miniatures that I have (that really grew into 2 tackle boxes and another small box)? And me?!? love anime?!? I think there are four total shows in the thousands that are out there that I would say "I love this show". Most of them I can't stand. Hello Dante, my name is Kyraath, it's nice to meet you. We should have coffee sometime so we can get to know each other :D

"raises hand" I have an excuse for him!!! I think old age is getting to Dante. I have not even seen him in 7 some years. I doubt we would even know what each other looks like now.

Let's get together soon for that coffee. ;) As for the anime reference, I wasn't talking about those stupid kid shows with the utterly annoying high-pitched voices. I was talking about the cool shows like Vampire Hunter and others. There was a show that I used to watch that was similar to Voltron (and of course I forget the name... old age acting up).

I vaguely remember seeing a tackle box full of mech miniatures and I vaguely remember that showing occuring in your basement and I also vaguely remember the obsession back in the CP days of you prowling ebay for more miniatures. As I think about it more I suppose I vaguely remember more than I give my memory credit in remembering. In fact, I think I even remember you, Kyraath! :p

heh that was great, I haven't been able to taunt Dante in a while :D it's probably all my years of taunting that's caused the memory losses, repressed memories maybe? ;)

and Bill, right before leaving for Japan, I bought a Macbook Pro. I frickin love it, it's the best laptop I've ever used, but that limits the PC games that I can play. I picked up an xbox 360 as an anniversary of my arrival present to myself as my gaming platform so I haven't really missed gaming at all, but I get excluded on some of the group games. Those are rough to join in on anyways because of timezone differences so it's not tooooo bad.

Perhaps parallels would be to your liking then. Iknow the pain of nongaming. I've been unable to use my left arm for almost a month and a half now. stupid surgery. That and my system is getting older and slower by the day.:pissed:
