So yeah, I have to write a stupid ass research paper in my operating systems class that has to do with operating systems. Since I'm not really interested in operating systems, I'm going to bend the rules a little bit and make this about something i AM interested in. If you guys see any articles or know of any books/white papers/whatever concerning Language use in operating systems, not programming language, but innovations in localization or integrating written or spoken language into computers, please let me know here. I'm so overwhelmed it is going to be a while before I'll have time to really research this so if you guys see any and post it here, that would help a ton.
Thanks

This would be a good place to start.

And Operating Systems are great! That was my favorite class, followed by Computer Architecture and Compiler Design. Heh, the 3 most hated classes in the Computer Science Department. I guess I really am meant to do this eh.
I'll keep looking and thinking about it for you.

It's been an interesting class, but I really don't want to do a research paper on it. I'm glad I took this class over any others, I think I've learned more in this class that I would have in another. But I still would rather do something internationally related.
BTW, AWESOME idea to start with Unicode, I might start by seeing the degree that unicode is supported. Like for one I know that password prompts to windows does support it (I've had a couple unicode characters in my passwords,) but logins through a web browser did not.
Thanks

Maybe something about the comments in source code. I know the Linux kernel has some interesting comments in there. In several different languages.
