From Wikipedia:

"Users of RSS content use programs called feed 'readers' or 'aggregators (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aggregator)': the user 'subscribes' to a feed by supplying to their reader a link to the feed; the reader can then check the user's subscribed feeds to see if any of those feeds have new content since the last time it checked, and if so, retrieve that content and present it to the user."

I can see how they're handy but I just don't use them at all. I need some RSS junkie to get me hooked.

RSS junkie here at your disposal. I have to first credit Dante for getting me hooked into the RSS trend. My addiction to RSS feeds only gets worse the more I use them. They are super duper handy. Every time I find a new site I like the first thing I do is see if they have an RSS feed.

Think of RSS feeds like this. The content comes to you instead of you going out to search for it.

I currently subscribe to 66 feeds ranging from gaming news, wallpaper sites, blogs about tv shows, tech news, etc etc. All the news posts I put on the OOE site come from my RSS feeds. However I only post a small fraction of what I actually read each day. For instance, today I had about 200 items to look at and posted only 4 news items. (i think) Now, you may be saying... "200 items??!?!" Yes, that is alot but it only takes me about 20 minutes on average to go through them. Saves me a heck of alot of time instead of visiting each of those 66 web sites I subscribe to, checking for new content, and then reading and scrolling each item.

For my RSS needs I use an online service called NewsGator (its free). The part I like about NewsGator is that I can access my feeds from anywhere at anytime. Here is a link with more info if you like: http://www.newsgator.com/NGOLProduct.aspx?ProdID=NewsGator+Online

I could go on and on so I'll just stop here. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer.
