Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis will make their triumphant return to the U.S.'s SCI FI Channel with new episodes in April, TV Guide announced last week and the network confirmed today.

SG-1 will air its final 10 episodes on Friday nights, with Atlantis finishing out its third season with another 10 episodes. Season Four of Stargate Atlantis is expected to make a summer premiere on SCI FI, though no premiere date has yet been confirmed.

The two series will be joined on Fridays by the premiere of SCI FI's new original series Painkiller Jane, based on the cable channel's 2005 original mini-series. Starring Kristanna Loken (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, The L Word), the series tells the story of a woman with the power to heal herself, who is recruited by a covert government organization.

Battlestar Galactica will move to Sunday nights starting January 21, where SCI FI will pair it with the series premiere of The Dresden Files, based on the best-selling novels by Jim Butcher.
