Fry's Electronics has always been an impressive store in the brick and mortar sense, but somewhat lacking in their online retail presence. Until now.

Last week the company officially launched Frys.com (http://www.frys.com/), a domain they did not own until just this year. The site has more product, more Fry's branding, and is for the most part an online electronics store that looks set to compete with other established e-tailers like Newegg.

Prior to that, the company sold electronics goods on Outpost.com, but most consumers could not make the link between Outpost and their beloved Fry's.

"It really is just more," said Manuel Valerio, a spokesperson for Fry's. "It's more product and software, CDs, DVDs, some new book titles. We were already providing many of these categories but we're constantly adding to the inventory."

Basically, they're ready to get serious about online sales, and just in time for the holidays. The company launched the site in conjunction with the Las Vegas PGA Gold Tour, which they sponsored. In order to compete with established e-tailers like Best Buy and Amazon, Valerio said that the company will continue to pursue sponsorship and marketing opportunities.

We have two of these stores local here in phoenix. The only negative thing to say is a fairly big one. We seem to get great deals but we return alot for something wrong. They are usually pretty good in the store about exchanging but its stilll anoying. I have not bought anything online from them.
