Well, for me it hardly goes without saying, just look at the front page... LOTR: Return of the King!!!

Yep i agree, real hard decision here DANTE, though I'm kinda torn, I'm looking forward to Last Samurai almost as much as I'm looking forward to LOTR.

In the spirit of this topic, I just found out about an Alien vs. Predator movie due to come out next year in August. :shock:

I went to see ALIEN at the kick ass theatre this weekend and there was a trailer for AvP at the beginning. That's all I really want to see about this movie, I want to be surprised when it comes out.

Did everyone else go see ALIEN this weekend also? I'm SURE dbone made it since he's such a fan of scary movies. ALIEN is one of the best movies ever made and it kicked SO much ass to see it on the big screen, huh dbone. Even though it was made in '78 or '79 (can't remember exactly when), it's still one of the best scary movies ever and the effects still look better than some of the crap they release now.

I just happened to catch ALIENS on dishnetwork a couple of weeks ago and I kept thinking to myself how impressive that movie is considering when it was made. And your exactly right, Kyraath, ALIEN is even more impressive since it was release a couple of years before that. And the special effects kickass. I like ALIEN better because it's more suspenseful than the second, but you have to admit that ALIENS rules too! :)

Agreed, ALIEN and ALIENS are the two in the series that really kick ass. The first being a SCARY movie, the second being an action movie (with a little suspense mixed in). Both of these movies have aged really well, like a good wine.

I just really hope they can pull of AvP and it doesn't become an alien3 or alien resurrection (3 sucked and resurrection was only semi entertaining). The games ruled so hopefully if they can capture that feel, the movie will be cool also.

Looks like LOTR is dominating! I heard that they will be showing the extended versions of FOTR and TT in the theaters before the release of ROTK, anyone else hear that?
